  • QNAP Introduces QuNAS Series Powered by Intel Core 3 N355 Twin Lake CPUs

    QNAP has officially launched its new QuNAS series of NAS systems, built on Intel’s latest Twin Lake architecture for powerful, efficient, and flexible storage performance. At the heart of the lineup is the Intel Core 3 N355, an 8-core, 8-thread processor with a 15 W TDP and turbo boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz, delivering a strong balance of performance and energy efficiency for modern storage workloads.

    Flagship Model: Qu805-N355

    The top model in the series, the QNAP Qu805-N355, is designed for users with high-capacity storage demands.

    • Drive Bays: Eight 3.5-inch SATA slots with hot-swap support, also compatible with 2.5-inch SATA SSDs.

    • Memory Options: 8 GB or 16 GB DDR5 SODIMM, plus 8 GB eMMC NAND flash for boot storage.

    • Expansion: Two M.2 2280 slots supporting NVMe PCIe Gen 3 x1 SSDs.

    • Connectivity: Dual 2.5 GbE LAN ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (including Type-C), and HDMI 2.1 with 4K @ 60 Hz support.

    • Power: 102.78 W during typical operation via a 150 W external adapter.

    Measuring 165 × 217 × 285 mm, the Qu805-N355 combines compact design with enterprise-grade expandability.

    Additional Models in the QuNAS Series

    QNAP is also introducing smaller-capacity models to meet different user needs:

    • Qu605-N355: Six-bay version (165 × 217 × 226 mm), 84.42 W typical power draw.

    • Qu405-N355: Four-bay version (165 × 217 × 168 mm), 62.69 W typical power draw.

    For users with lighter workloads or budget constraints, Lite variants are also available. These are powered by the Intel N150 quad-core processor (up to 3.6 GHz) while maintaining many of the same features as the N355-based models.

    With high-speed networking, NVMe SSD caching, DDR5 memory support, and HDMI output, the QuNAS series is built for a wide range of applications including:
