It starts with size: the Extreme demands a beefy chassis with its extra-large E-ATX form factor, while the ATX-sized Hero offers broader compatibility. A robust power solution with 22+1+2+2 power stages delivers unshakeable performance. Massive heatsinks integrated with the I/O cover, joined by a U-shaped heatpipe, and connected to the power stages with high-conductivity thermal pads keep the VRMs cool under pressure.
Four DIMM slots equipped with NitroPath DRAM Technology stand ready to accelerate your gaming ambitions with a high-speed DDR5 memory kit. Thanks to ROG M.2 PowerBoost, this board offers six total M.2 slots, three of which are wired for PCIe 5.0 bandwidth.
Innovative design features make building with the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero an easy, streamlined experience.
