The Broadcom BCM87850 is single-chip, 8x106-Gb/s full-duplex, ultra-low power, ultra-low latency Retimer PHY optimized for Active Copper Cable applications.
The BCM87850 is capable of equalizing 22 db of loss on both the host-side and line-side interfaces.
Each lane is capable of multiple data rates, including 53.125 Gb/s and 106.25 Gb/s in PAM-4 mode.
The 100GbE, 400GbE, 800GbE applications can be supported through multilane configurations.
The BCM87850 is fabricated with advanced, low-power 7-nm CMOS technology. The BCM87850 is available in a 12-mm×12mm, 0.5mm pitch, 485-ball BGA, RoHS-compliant package.
