Product Description
Broadcom Integrated Multi-Constellation GNSS Receiver - BCM47531
The BCM47531 builds on the success of the ubiquitous BCM4752 GNSS receiver by providing simultaneous multi-constellation support for the GPS, BDS, GLONASS, QZSS and SBAS constellations. The BCM47531 receiver offers fast time-to-fix in all scenarios, accurate real-time navigation, fast re-acquisition of signals after blockage or tunnel exits and best-in-class sensitivity. This receiver chip continues the ability to have low power consumption even with the addition of acquiring and tracking the BeiDou satellites. An additional capability is always-on low-power geofencing support. The BCM47531 is optimized for standalone GNSS solution for smartphones, tablet computers, Internet-of-things devices and portable navigation devices (PNDs).
Features
- Multi-constellation capability collects data from five satellite constellations (GPS, BDS, GLONASS, QZSS and SBAS) simultaneously and uses the best received signals, resulting in faster signal searches and more accurate real-time navigation
- Integration of key components such as LNA enables lowest bill of materials cost
- Low-power operation, allowing location-aware applications to remain active for longer periods of time
- Applications such as Geofencing that provide alerts or services based on location can be completely off-loaded from the smartphone host for ultra-low power operation
- Urban driving navigation support by applying handset inertial sensor readings into the position computation
- Best-in-class assisted GNSS (AGNSS) with GPS, BDS and GLONASS assistance data available worldwide from Broadcom's world-wide reference network
