Future Proof Your Connectivity
The PowerScan 9600 series of 2D barcode scanner features all the standard benefits associated with Datalogic industrial handheld scanners, but now with embedded industrial connectivity, allowing simple interfacing with a PC, Industrial PC, Tablet, or PLCs. There is no need for third part devices as the communication modules are exchangeable in the cradle, and inline for the wired version. The plug and play architecture helps to maintain network integrity, and is easily configurable between RS-232, USB, USB-C, Ethernet, Ethernet I/P or Profinet. Any future standards or changes to your networking setup are easy to switch to within a matter of minutes.
Putting Power into Your Hands
The PowerScan 9600 rugged barcode scanner range offers three different performance levels, depending on your application, with read rates 20% faster than competitive products. The Standard Range model is equipped with a single camera for capturing low density 1D and 2D codes within normal reading ranges. For longer distance reading, choose the High Performance reader with a dual camera. Finally, and unique to Datalogic, is the Document Capture model which will take color images for quality control or signatory confirmation. As with all Datalogic scanners, the 9600 Series provides gentle white light illumination and outputs a successful ‘Green Spot’ for a successful read, even on damaged or dirty barcodes.

The PowerScan PM9600 cordless model further enhances the operator efficiency and safety with Datalogic’s STAR Cordless System™. Bidirectional radio communication and display allow users to receive immediate feedback avoiding any risk of mistakes.
The PowerScan PBT9600 cordless model is enriched with Bluetooth® 5.0 that can be paired to any device supporting Bluetooth connections, or to the Bluetooth base station.
The PowerScan 9600 scanner features Datalogic’s Wireless Charging System. Based on inductive-charging technology, Datalogic’s Wireless Charging System eliminates battery contacts and pins that often get dirty, bent, or broken over time – and this removes a key point of failure for devices used in industrial and retail functions.
Operators can freely walk around large working areas with an industrial wireless barcode scanner, scanning items, inputting data from the built-in keypad, and gaining immediate feedback from the host on the large, bright OLED display.

9600 Auto Range Series
The 9600 series is also available in a full suite of Auto Range (AR) products to provide the best solution for different necessities. It includes a corded desk models (PD9600 AR), cordless models featuring Datalogic’s STAR 433 MHz Cordless System™ 2.0 proprietary radio (PM9600 AR) and full keypad/display options, and cordless Bluetooth® 5.0 models (PBT9600AR).
The PowerScan 9600 Auto Range series inherits the plug-and-play architecture of the PowerScan 9600 family making it easily configurable between Serial, USB, Ethernet, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET while protecting customer’s investment in case of future changes to the communication setup.
9600 DPX Series
The 9600 series is now available in a full suite of industrial DPX models for DPM and label-based codes, mainly targeting traceability applications in Automotive, Aerospace, Tires and Electronics and also used in Healthcare for tracking medical devices in hospitals. It includes a corded desk models (PD9600 DPX), cordless models featuring Datalogic’s STAR 433 MHz Cordless System™ 2.0 proprietary radio (PM9600-D DPX) with full keypad/display options, and a cordless Bluetooth® 5.0 model (PBT9600 DPX).
The PowerScan 9600 DPX models also inherit the plug-and-play architecture of the PowerScan 9600 family making it easily configurable between Serial, USB, Ethernet, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET while protecting customer’s investment in case of future changes to the communication setup.
Shipping & Return
Return Policy
You need to have a Return Authorization (RA) number before returning any products to HSSL Technologies.
For a hard copy of this form and a shipping label, please include your request in the form below.
You can also request an RA online by submitting an RA Request via email. Once you have provided HSSL Technologies with the appropriate information, we will contact you with an assigned RA number.
Defective or DOA Products
DOA or defective products are returned for REPLACEMENT ONLY with the same product/model. Deviations from this policy may result in a 20% Returns Processing Service Charge.
- Defective products must be in the original factory carton with all original packing materials.
- The Return Authorization number must be on the shipping label, not the carton. Please do not write on the carton.
- Returns must be shipped freight prepaid. Products received freight collect, without an RA number, or not approved for return will be refused.
- Return Authorization numbers are valid for fourteen (14) days only. Products returned after expiration will be refused.
- HSSL credits are based on the purchase price or current price, whichever is lower.
General Return Terms
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (e.g., you received an incorrect or defective item).
You should expect to receive your refund within approximately six weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. This period includes:
- 5–10 business days for us to receive your return from the shipper
- 3–5 business days for us to process your return
- 5–10 business days for your bank to process the refund

Shipping Policy
