Add 2TB of Solid State Drive storage to select MacBook Pro (Late 2013 to Mid 2015) and MacBook Air (Mid 2013 to Mid 2017) systems with the 2TB Aura Pro X2 NVMe Solid State Drive Kit from OWC / Other World Computing. Preformatted APFS for macOS 10.13 and later, this Solid State Drive connects to your Mac using a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. Thanks to an included OWC Envoy Pro enclosure, you'll be able to use your Mac's factory Solid State Drive as an external drive via USB 3.2 Gen 1, with backward compatibility for USB 2.0.

In terms of speed, this drive offers sequential read speeds up to 3335 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 3271 MB/s. Also featured is an MTBF of 1.5 million hours, an endurance (TBW) rating of 1000TB, an Innogrit IG5220 processor, Synchronous Triple-Level Cell (TLC) 3D NAND flash storage, 7% over provisioning ECC recovery, built-in ECC, an access time of less than 0.1 ms, and OS dependent TRIM support.

Please note that prior to installing this drive, your host system must be updated to the latest available OS using Apple's factory SSD. Also, the OWC Envoy Pro enclosure is specifically designed for use ONLY with the factory Solid State Drive installed in select Apple Macintosh computers. Do NOT attempt to install or use Aura N, Aura N2, Aura Pro X, Aura Pro X2, Aura Pro X2 Gen4, or Aura SSDs in the Envoy Pro as you may damage the OWC drive, the enclosure, or both, and such damage is not covered under warranty. Lastly, the OWC Envoy Pro enclosure is not currently compatible with Apple PCIe NVMe drives.
