Product Overview
SUA500PDR-H Features
The Industrial Panel and DIN Rail AC UPS from APC by Schneider Electric offers protection from under voltage (sag) and over voltage (swell/surge), transients, spikes and unexpected power outages due to utility interruptions or problems within the facility. The small form-factor is optimized for mounting within control panel enclosures either on a heavy-duty DIN rail or directly to the wall of the enclosure. The UPS battery can be loaded in the internal battery compartment or mounted externally depending on local codes. Frequently used to protect Industrial Process Control equipment, this AC UPS can provide protected AC power to multiple AC/DC power supplies within the cabinet.
Industrial Features & Benefits
Easy Maintenance
User replaceable battery - safely and simply replaceable by end-user with easy front panel access to the battery compartment; technician not required
Hot swappable battery - replaceable by end-user or service personnel while UPS is operating on utility power
Battery replacement - perform as part of preventive maintenance or based on UPS notification when 'UPS Automatic Self-Test' determines battery should be replaced
Flexible Installation
Small form factor - optimized for mounting within control panel enclosure either on heavy duty DIN rail or directly to the wall of the enclosure
Hardwired AC Input/Output - connection easily accessed on front panel of UPS
UPS battery installation - either insert into the internal battery compartment or mount externally depending on local electrical codes
Chassis knockout - choose either right side or bottom knockout for flexible positioning of externally mounted battery
Highly Available and Reliable
Temperature compensated battery charging - prolongs battery life by regulating the charge voltage according to battery temperature
Automatic self-test - runs periodically to ensure early detection of a battery that needs replacing - Default interval for self-test is 14 days
Manageable
LED Indicators - located on front of UPS provide status at a glance indicating On-Line, On-Battery, Battery-disconnected or needs replacement, UPS fault
DB-9 serial communication port - uses RS232 protocol
Integrated Dry Contact I/O - provides simple status information for On-Battery / Low Battery and user configured emergency power off (EPO)
APC SmartSlot - accepts optional accessory cards for Network Management or Serial Modbus/Jbus or additional Relay I/O Dry Contacts - Integrated Dry Contact I/O is disabled when accessory card is installed
