Quantum Scalar i6 Multi-Path Failover License, Control and Data Path, Four Drives, for use with IBM LTO-6 and later The Compatibility Guide must be consulted prior to quoting this feature. This feature is similar to the Basic Path Failover licenses sold with other libraries. Library license key that enables multi-path failover on four drives. This feature can only be used with applications that can manage the multiple paths, currently restricted to NetBackup and Commvault, see the compatibility guide on quantum.com for complete information. Used for the control and data paths on one IBM LTO-6 and later drive. NPIV path management is not supported. This is a library-based license that cannot be transferred to another library. Control path failover requires a minimum quantity of two licenses per library partition; data path failover requires one license per drive. Not for use with the AEL6. No installation or support is needed.
