The Allied Telesis UniDirectional Link Detection (UDLD) is a Layer 2 protocol that detects unidirectional links between Ethernet devices. UDLD detects the link status of a peer device and takes action to protect the network if the link is unidirectional. UDLD can be used on any network that uses Ethernet, including LANs, WANs, and MANs.
The Allied Telesis UniDirectional Link Detection - License - 1 License - AT-FL-FS98-UDLD is a software license that enables UDLD on Allied Telesis switches. This license is required for each switch that will use UDLD.
